I just posted a message and had one more thing to ask. I have a pup and just found out last week that he has Red Mange. It is not contagous like regular mange and I've found out that it is caused by a particular mite that all dogs have, but some breeds, when they are pups, immune systems are not yet strong enough to fight the culprit off.
I know what you are thinking-what does this have to do with Eczema-Dermatitis in humans?
Okay, I've been to 3 dermatologists and have not been told for sure what I have (small patch on side of face). When I took my pup to the vet, he scraped a little patch with a surgical blade, put it under a microscope and within 2 minutes, he knew what was wrong with my dog. He then told me what to use to cure the problem. He told me about a drug called IVERMECTIN which kills the mites.
Has anyone heard of using IVERMECTIN for the treatment of eczema or atopic dermatitis? I've done some research and ivermectin is used in humans for some disorders. And is eczema caused by dermozex mites, and, are our immune systems to weak to kill the mites?
When researching about the red mange, I read where dog breeders whose dogs have this disesase feed their animals Bovine Colustrum lactating cows first milk to build the animals immune systems up. I wonder this would build the immune systems up in humans to fight dermodex mites (if eczema is caused by this) off?
Please forgive my long posts and any spelling errors, and hanks in advance for any replies.
Randy
