you will never know how to be a proper companion if you don't stop what you are doing and start SEARCHING for who you want to be. Not complaining about it, not whining to god and everyone, going out and actively SEARCHING for who you want to be. IF you have an idea now, then go do it. Stop the b.s. and just do it. YES it won't be easy. NO you can't find yourself while holding on to someone else. WHY? because you haven't hit bottom yet. We all want to keep our friends and ourselves from hitting the rocks below the cliff, but that is where true HEART and MIND changes occur. If you just walk up to them and take a look, it isn't the same. The effect is not the same. If you slam into them doing 100 Kph, then yep... something is going to give. You can remodel a house a thousand times, but the same foundation will be there... but if you knock the bloke down, then you get a fresh start, and can rebiuld it properly... the way you want it to be. DO this guy and yourself a favour. Tell him the truth, and then go do it on your own. He sounds like a nice guy, maybe he will wait on you, maybe he won't. But if you trully go off and start fresh, NO DATING UNTIL YOU ARE WELL ON YOUR WAY TO REBUILD, then it won't matter if he is there or not, because you will be ready for a real relationship and what is better.. you will not only be worthy, but you will know how.
