Virgin Oil de Coco-Creme and Coconut Supreme are the same oil from the same supplier and WFN used to have the same exact oil too. Now they have changed suppliers on their centrifuge oil to one they say they like better. I can only imagine how fantastic it tastes for them to like it even better than the Virgin Oil de Coco-Creme/CS oil!! Honestly I have never tasted anything so delicious but a fellow I know just received his centrifuge oil in from WFN from their new supplier about a week or so ago and he said it was heaven in a jar so perhaps it is possible. :) I still have two gallons of WFN's Phillipine oil so it will be awhile before I order anymore as well. Which if you are running short on cash the Phillpine oil is still very good too! But nothing beats centrifuge in taste. :)
It sounds like you definetly did not get TT's virgin oil. Their virgin oil is my least favorite among virgin oils because of the catching in the throat but it does have coconut taste. I have bought TT's expeller pressed and it has no taste, plus was pretty yucky to just eat off the spoon. Good news is that it is organic however and that it is deodorized but by using the steam method so nothing harmful has actually been done to it. I just used their EP
for stir fries, pan frying (I know it is not good to fry, but my husband insists sometimes! So I insist on the healthiest way possible :) frying eggs, things like that. Then I used my virgin for eating off the spoon, smoothies, shakes, tropical chicken and other things I want the coconut flavor in.
No, I do not think TT advertisers will be back for awhile. They try it every several months...this was the third time and each time their skirt is exposed they leave. I do not know what their problem is trying to be so "secretive" about their identity, but it really irritates me that a company cannot be secure in itself to say "hey this is me" and post accordingly with people knowing who they are. I guess doing that would keep the advertising too much in check however!! :P In my experience with them it seems to me that TT wants to do nothing but make a buck. And I do understand they spend more on advertising than other coconut oil suppliers but I do not in any way think that excuses their behavior. I'll never order from them again either because of the treatment I have received from them, especially Brian Shilhavy and their vice president. They acted like I was crazy and it was impossible when I had a problem with two of their products, that just because no one else had experienced that problem I must just be making it up!! You know, as many people as I have told that I do not like TT and my recommendation is WFN they would have been cheaper off to just replace or refund $10 worth of products for goodness sake!! And that is not the only reason I do not recommend them, I won't go into all the rest of it...but anyway. Suffice it to say everything could have been handled differently and I would have probably stayed a customer or at least not been telling everyone NOT to order from them.
