Where do you get the idea that is dangerous? Back up your claim with proof! Because all of the people's testimonies I have read and studies alike conclude that coconut oil is great for both hyper and hypo thyroid. I have never seen anything to substantiate that coconut oil is dangerous in any person, much less someone with a thyroid condition who actually could benefit from it more than say a basically healthy person.
