i had no idea there was a coconut oil forum! recently, i purchased Garden of Life Extra-Virgin coconut oil to apply topically to whiteheads and eczema. just wondering if this is a good idea. my main problem is that i have had acne, sometimes moderate, sometimes severe and am looking for other reasons why all OTC's and prescriptions have failed. right now, i have formulated this new theory about my skin...that when i dry it out from using topicals/overzealous washing, it pinches off my pores and my natural oils have nowhere to go. it gets trapped underneath my skin and forms a plug (whitehead). i was hoping that coconut oil will rehydrate my skin in addition to diluting this plug so that it can be pushed out.

any thoughts on this method are greatly appreciated!
