I saw your prior post and concerns. I would be feeling the same. I tried making whey from raw milk and also did not have a good feel. It smelled so sour I tossed it. It may have been fine as the other posts suggested, but I couldn't get past the smell. I have made the whey from a good quality yogurt, without Sugar and other stuff not necessary to the yogurt, and have had very good success with that. I also noticed the whey from raw milk was kind of milky looking, but the whey from yogurt had no milky look, mostly clear with a slight color tinge to it. It also, does not smell sour and tastes wonderful!
When I make the whey from yogurt, I do leave the yogurt out to separate, as per NT book. It only takes about 6 hrs give or take, so I did not really feel concerned about spoilage, especially since it's been cool. Not sure about the heat of summer though, but I still think it would be OK.
I know others on this site have made formula, have you checked there comments. And hopefully one of them will be able to address your concerns. I don't have kids, so.... Also you might check the Radiant Life Wellness Catalog (listed in the sources of NT). It has a section on NT Baby Formula offering a Formula Kit.
Good luck with your venture.
