Wow, thanks for all that info. That makes more sense. Ann Wigmore presents a pretty strong case so it really confused me. Often sites that promote raw food veganism say things like "gorillas and chimps are 100% vegan" but anyone who has seen them in nature programs would have seen that they are constantly picking the fleas off each other and eating them. I'm sure there is a nutritional reason for this besides grooming and comfort. Also I read recently that both chimps and gorillas have been observed consuming small animals in the wild. Therefore it's easy to see the flaws in the pro-vegan diets/arguments.

The other one that confused me is Andreas Moritz . When I mentioned the work of Weston Price Andreas said he too travelled and found loads of healthy communities "that ate just like me", though he did say they ate meat about once a year (eg. in Cypress). However, Andreas quotes the American heart foundation in his books and their heart/cholesterol studies have been shown over and over again by people like Mary Enig and Uffe Ravsnkov to be flawed and biased.

So I'm back to believing that Weston Price has the most sensible and fact-based approach. And the argument that what worked for hundreds/thousands of years for people should work for us. It's a bit hard overcoming 18 years of being a vegetarian though! (I did have phases of eating chicken/fish but never meat). I've been slowly introducing meat for the last year.

So I'm rambling. Why do you think Bernard Jensen developed prostate cancer? The other query about him I have is his promotion of soy products which of course are toxic unless prepared in the traditional way (miso, soy sauce, tempeh etc). I guess the toxicity of soy is kind of new information.

You said you studied with Jensen. Are you a nutritionist? I'm thinking I will study nutrition. It fascinates me and I seem to spend all my spare time researching it and talking about it! So I guess I should do something with my passion.
