I agree with you about vegan diets for cleansing but not for long term and definitely not for healthy procreation. In his book Price says he really searched for a healthy vegetarian community but didn't find one. In her talk Sally said there is a vegan community near her and they are now in the 2nd or 3rd generation. She said there are a lot of Down's Syndrome children.

Recently a vegetarian friend came to visit. I couldn't help noticing the huge overbite of her son and wondering if it was lack of nutrition that caused it.

The local chapter leader for WPF here was a vegan raw foodist for about 7 years. He said that he felt great at first but after a while the problems started to set in. He said he saw that in a lot of people. They feel great because they detox but then their body has to start to dip into its own reserves. Apparently Sally Fallon said that we could live on a 100% raw diet if we all had perfect endocrine systems but in this modern world that is not possible.

Philosophically and spiritually I would love to be a vegetarian but I will not risk my children and grandchildren's health for my ideals. Maybe when I'm post child rearing and ready to navel gaze a bit more I might go back to it. In the meantime I hope to have a child who has a strong immune system, strong bones, and healthy teeth that aren't crowded!!
