They are remedies made by a process somewhat akin to how homeopathic remedies are made. They "capture" the unique spiritual qualities of flowers to be used for healing. The process involves pure water, sunlight, and a single blossom. The unique energies of the flower, move into the water as the sun shines on it. After a couple of hours or so, the water is then a healing remedy. Brandy is used to prevent any kind of microbial growth.

Flower Essences are used to heal at a spiritual/energetic level. Figuring out which remedy or combination of remedies would be most helpful is done by examining emotional states of being that need to be remedied. The healing works down from the spiritual/energetic to the emotional.
