I've been looking to build by own zapper (since I am a cheapskate) and stumbled across these square wave oscillator kits based on the 555 timer. They appear to be pretty much the circuit Dr. Clark suggests in her book. Plus, using a simple calculation, you can choose six frequencies just by changing the output capacitors.

If anyone have any input that can help me, I would appreciate it.
