Sounds like it's shorting! Try a different battery again and see if it does the same. You may have some wires that are hitting each other inside of it. If it keeps doing this, you may need to contact the distributer and let them know what's going on. They might be able to help fix it! It's not likely a problem with you, since your friend had the same thing happen.
