Agreed, 45000 is a bit much for the typical budget :)

It's a typical cloakNdagger mystery death, but Chuck Wallach, who had been involved in some of the development of PAPIMI R&D, recently 'died'. It is alleged he was offed by 'them' because he was close to acquiring some particular patents. Don't have many details to help piece together the full story.

I'm still a bit overwelmed trying to sort out all the different tech and devices; for instance, Bruce Stenulson's stuff, some of which uses Plasma Tube technology, but at the same time I'm pretty sure is/can be operated with a freq gen, so I'm really not sure how to classify this kind of gear.

There are probably other experts lurking around here, but 2Tuff is among the most regular posters so I'd stick with what knowledge he can impart on this topic.
