Hi Brent: You don't use water! You put your wet washed veggies into the pot, get it hot slowly, put lid on and just let them steam more or less in their own juice. Don't burn them! This is very healthy for you, you can even drink the little juice that is in the bottom of the pot when your done. No goodies are lost. Great taste!
