Hello everyone. It's 3 am. Happy Fall to all. Been lurking the forum reading your posts for about 3 days. Good stuff. Don't remember how I got here but I'm happy to learn new things for better health. I started my 10 day MC journey Sunday, so I have survived day 2. I'll be happy to keep you updated. Here's the poop scoop: The night before, I started with my tea laxative. Then the SWF the next morning. Yikes! Now I have to note that I had given myself the liberty the day before plowing down two pizza slices, a burrito, a box of JR Mints...you get the picture. That was a mistake. I normally don't eat like that. I do work out four times a week and eat 4 to 5 small healthy portions daily including protein drinks. But I do have those days, who doesn't. Over the past two years or so I have found some of the foods I use to eat and crave, especially sweets, are too rich or cokes way too sweet since leaning more towards a healthier diet and more water. Has anyone experienced the same thing? I love to cook. I watch the FoodNetwork and someone mentioned they like Jamie Oliver. Good call. He's great. Jim Scheibler is another great chef on the Health Network. Great healthy and delicious meals. We can always improvise using great recipes and keep 'em healthy. I love to eat, live to eat...so this is definitly a challenge. I have come to realize it is time to detox.
Anyways, back to the MC...day 1 was ok. 6 lemonades after the SWF. Man, it only took one hour before I heard what sounded like a volcanic eruption about to take place. I ended up with two BM's that day. Pure hell. Ended with another tea lax. Day 2 I was worried. 1 BM, but that was it.(is that normal?) Also knew I was going to the beach. Going out means the smell of food and the site of restaurants all around me. But I did it. Before I left I bottles 3 servings of the lemon concoction. (watch the cayenne when you bottle!) POW! Doesn't look appealing in a clear bottle either. Well, believe me, the cravings were as strong as ever, butI knew I'd get thru the day if I wanted too. Ended with tea lax. I thought about how easy it was for me to clean the garage out three our four times a year, or clean out that closet. You know? Somehow our priorites get screwed up. So I endured. Had to buy more organic lemons while I was out there. Lots of 'em. "Kids making lemonade?" the clerk wonders... uh, yep. So day 3 is here. Talk to ya soon!
