I will agree with dismissive, but not rude or defensive.

To recap (and I argue for a living, so this could go on for days, if you want it to, LOL), someone posted that no one will lose any weight unless they take in fewer calories than they expend. I wrote back that this is supported by information in the Master-Cleanse book, and asked the poster what was her(his?) point - believe it or not, I really would like to know.

It is true I didn't get all touchy-feely, warm and fuzzy (which I know is the tone of this board, and I think that tone appropriate for supporting someone trying a MC, or anything else, but not necessarily for someone who is making a proclamation). True, I could have put it like this -

"Hi! You are soooooo right that you do not lose any weight unless you take in fewer calories than you expend. And it is also most likely true that if you weighed the toxins that your body is eliminating (less the water), they may add up to ounces. I am just curious as to whether you had another point to make than this one, or if you are simply repeating what Mr. Burroughs already wrote in his book. Either way is cool here, just wondering! Hope I didn't offend!"

But that is not my style. :) Deal with it. (Dismissive again! Horrors!)
