If we travelled through time, we find a head covering very strong, even until this day. But that is not an oppressive thing for women. Yet some women find it that way. And THAT is because the men may have overstepped their bounds, which can be very devastating to the womens tender hearts.
MEN are EQUAL to WOMEN in the SIGHT of GOD. ( but they have different roles, and different abilities, etc... )

Basically, I was not trying to say if you don't cover you are not a good person.
We all see the pictures of the Mother Mary covered though.
Just saying this cloth of Modesty is highly important to those who choose to wear it.
And of course people are free to choose, of course.
