"Unbelievers are right to think, believe, and understand that IN REALITY we are not perfect"
I would like to state something for your study and meditation:
Reality is, we (believers) are "Perfect" because of The Finished Work of Christ. What God thinks and says in The Written Word is reality. Every thought word and deed out side of The Word of God is unreality no matter how real it seems. An unbelievers discernment is unrealistic when their "thoughts are not His thoughts and His ways are not His ways." They have no capability to "think, believe and understand" any thing of a spiritual nature especialy The Body of Christ. They can only look upon the "old man" which God has crucfied and buried. But so far is this from the mind of God that He tells us as believers:
2Co 5:16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh.
The unbeliever and the spiritualy immature live in a state of unreality. Satan's goal is to draw the maturing believer into this state of unreality and know everyone according to the flesh, Eph 2:1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
Eph 2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience, but God has given us a grace provision:
Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
1) All Believers comprise Christ: Joh 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
2) Some Believers manifest Christ: 2Co 5:11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
3) Few Believers magnify Christ: Phi 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
This is a scratch of the surface of a deep study (Phi 3:10) that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
