I choose to let it be God's business that I can be deemed (defined/thought of as) perfect. The only reason it is possible that I be thought of as perfect is because He RE-deemed me. In fact, I am glad that I know enough not to want to be an "innocent" Christian because Christ did not come for the innocent, but for the sick (His grace is sufficient for me and I have no NEED for this world's approval, being sovereign in the Lord, I might even accuse myself of being a megalomaniac in The Lord, after all, He did not give us a spirit of timidity, did He? 2 Timothy 1:7).
More than 20 years ago, when I was still searching for the identity of the Creator, I had a friend that was a Christian and he tried to get me involved in his church. I always discussed God COMPLETELY with my friend and went to some bible studies, but my objection to becoming a Christian was that they not only imagined they were perfect, but they told God that they were perfect and LIED to Him (of course, at this point, you are probably shouting "HERESY" because God says you are perfect, thank you for rationalizing my innocence, my brethren, but your love SHOULD cover a multitude of sins). God is speaking in a heavenly sense that our entrance into the AFTERLIFE of HIS kingdom will not be prevented by the REALITY that we are not perfect because, as far as He is concerned, being in His Son's body means that we are perfect (He SEES us as PERFECT) enough to enter His place of rest. For the most part, our perfection is ONLY His business, and rightfully should not be seen as any concern of ours (we played NO PART in being declared perfect and cannot claim to have any merit to deserve being declared perfect in any way
Unbelievers are right to think, believe, and understand that IN REALITY we are not perfect, we are definitely NOT infallible (incapable of evil intent because of human nature/weakness because of greed, selfishness, laziness and seek to make a name for ourselves with power and fame). I only walk with The Lord because He lets me, otherwise I would joyfully be the welcome mat with which He cleans His feet (and I would be overwhelmed with honor).
