Re: fear of losing weight.

This has absolutely happened to me. For me, fear of wieght loss represents fear of losing status quo, which has been at once intolerable and comfortable. (yes I meant comfortable, not uncomfortable)

I have committed to a course of losing 1/2 to one pound per week.

Over the last three months I have lost 7 pounds.

This has allowed me to change the intolerable aspects of status quo in my life slowly over time, and has also helped me to recognize the positive aspects of status quo, which should by all means be maintained. If the positve aspects of status quo are properly maintained, then it will serve as a powerful springboard to the next, and more intense endeavor of committment.

Committment is a process wherby we put our dreams into action.

Slow and steady is definately the way. If this is something you can do, then you can put your entire confidence into your power to cultivate your capacity for change.

Ignore the magazines. They have made women into 'barbie' characatures. The keys to your outer and inner beauty as a woman are in your hands alone. Rapid weight loss should always be regarded with suspicion and shunned. First, and formost, it should be seen as a conclusive indicator that something is seriously wrong with your health.

(fasts, and other interventions not withstanding)

The attainment of harmony and joy between body and mind requires nothing less than the participation of your entire being.

And if there are any body fascists lurking within your psychic landscape, then they need to be healed so that this energy can no longer work at cross purposes with you.

Peace and Love
