i feel that faith, hope, and love makes for the strongest bonds between people, and between god and us. abuse seems to be a lack of these virtues between people. like a feud, both parties will never stop warring until someone stops first. the scripture that we should do unto others as we would have done to us, is the beginning of the truce. and praying for our enemies helps to soften their hearts, by the power of god's loving spirit.
