Babylonian Mystery Religions contravene all that God has revealed about His nature and His will. God says, "Stay awake and watching." Babylonian Mystery Religions promote altered states of consciousness, whether brain-stunning meditation or drugs.

As the great mystic, St. John of the Cross, notes, drugs give a false sense of mysticism. Real mystics don't seek transport on the wings of drugs. They are simple men and women who set their hearts on God. They are shepherds tending the flock who are called by God to be prophets. They are prayerful women who are called by God to heroic courage, trusting their very lives, and that of their people, to God's inspiration.
