Check out this article. It might answer your question. (It's from 2001, but it talks about the new thimerisol-free vaccines.)

What you need to do is to get the actual ingredients list for the vaccine that you are wondering about, and then look up the individual ingredients. Then ask yourself whether or not the risks, if any, are low enough to consider taking the vaccine. If you feel the risk is worth the potential benefit, then get the shot. If not, don't.
