I suffered an adverse reaction to a tetanus booster in Feb 2003, began with brachial neuritis, has affected entire nervous system, causing central sensitization, RSD/CRPS-2, bilateral thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatic nerve problems - if it's nerve-related, I have problems with it! I am currently going through the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program process to hopefully get some kind of settlement as I can no longer work, have chronic pain and extensive nerve damage to both arms, and medical bills are mounting - have had 2 surgeries already to release trapped nerves, have had to travel out of state to find specialists who can treat my conditions, etc. My local Drs have not been helpful, they want this all to go away, as they don't want to admit liability, so they have pretty much denied my dx and denied me treatment, which is a whole story in itself! Anyway, I desperately need help getting clarification on the level of my tetanus titer - IgG test - 2 other women who have had a reaction to the tetanus shot had levels in the 6.26 - 7.10 range 2 months after they received their shots, and were told those levels were elevated, that normally within a couple weeks after the vaccination a level of around 1.0 wd be expected. They were told by their Drs that this elevated level showed that they had had a reaction to the vaccine.

At 15 months after the vaccine was given, my Tetanus toxoid IgG level was 6.16 - yet the Dr who received the results told me it was normal. I later asked for a copy of the lab report and notice under status it says "Result Modified" I am wondering if it is possible that the lab flagged it as abnormally high, and he went into the report and removed that remark? I know, sounds kinda paranoid, but believe me, I have reason to be!

Can anyone help me out by telling me if this result is normal or elevated or where I can come by that information from a creditable source? It could be very important in my vaccine injury case!

Thanks!

beth
