To convert your name to a number, you don't repeat the name at all, you just give each letter its base number. Y is a consonant unless it is preceded by a vowel.

Let's see... your life lesson number is a 27/9, challenges are 0,6,6,6, pinnacles 2,8,1 (haven't studied pinnacles as much as I should! they're a little more complicated than challenges and never seemed to be as enlightening. But one of these days I'll do a thorough study.)

Being born on the same month/day really emphasis that number, the 10/1. So altho you're a 9, which is the number of the universal lover of humanity, the person who just "gets it" and gets tons of answers from their subconscious, the 1 says you're not supposed to keep your light under a bushel, as it were. ;) You're supposed to shine as a writer, orator, motivational speaker, that kind of thing.
