I spent many years in upper middle management. I was the guy that automatically got voted the leader of what ever social organization I joined. Articulate, wise for my years and physically attractive (thirty years ago.) One lesson that I learned quickly - Altruism is just a word in the dictionary. A majority of the people I lead were out for themselves. In corporations, Cub Scouts, auto clubs, fishing clubs... It was always, "What can this association do to further MY objectives?" I bowed out and have remained aloof for over thirty years. I willingly volunteer my time to those I deem needy (I have no money.) The point is, "most" of the people I know do not appear to aspire to controlling the world - They, mainly, just want to get by. Is massive wealth a precursor to controlling other people's actions and life styles? I have no supressed desires to steer my fellow man toward how I think life should be led. Just follow the Golden Rule...If you don't, I'll, righteously, bust your ass!
