The first lie about invading Iraq was the WMD arguement. When that proved to be a lie, The administration knew that a lot of Americans we so stupid, that if you change the subject, then they will forget. So, they changed the subject to "We did it for the benifit of the iraqi people. Well, their people are protesting and want us out.
Now that that theory is proven wrong, some in the Bush administration is saying that this war is good because it brings Terrorism to Iraq and keeps it out of the U.S. They are digging at straws.
Mc Cain has requested that we admit this was a huge mistake, and to double our troops there so we can get out sooner. Pat Robertson
(never a favorite of mine) is saying that the troops will be out in a year because we will get sick of our soldiers dying and the voters will demand it. The fact that George has an approval rating about 1% is incredible, but, his rating is going down because you can't hide stupidity all the time.
Nixon was overwelmingly re-elected, but 20 years later when they asked people if they voted for him, he somehow only got 10% even though he won in a landslide originally. in 20 years, it's going to be interesting to watch all these pro-war people of today, claim they were against the war when history shows how ridiculous this war was.
