Thanks Hanna. That was the best advice yet. I buy the disposable flannel packs from The Heritage Store and/or Baar at: www.baar.com. The disposables will make your life a lot easier. Otherwise, set-up can be a bit tedious and messy. You can get a dozen or more uses out of each pack and they can be easily stored for the next time. Just wrap it in a plastic bag, like your groceries come in, until you need it again. Flannel is very absorbent, holds both the oil and the heat within the fabric, and won't dry out between uses. But I don't see any reason why soft, cotton diapers won't suffice until you can get some flannel.
