Hi Catnap! It's good to have a desire in your heart for perfect love, but welcome to the human race (meaning ...it's not realistic). It's like the wife that encourages her husband to always say "YES DEAR", and then after years, she says to her friends..."I love my husband very much, but, I wish he would act more like a man". That's what romance novels are like, they're not based on reality, they're MAKE BELIEVE. Don't try to copy them in real life, Idealism and reality (human nature) are incompatible, (SORRY, and I'm not being sarcastic, I truly am sorry). Never lose sight of your dream (perfect love), it is nourishment for your heart and makes you the kind of person you are. I also feel unsettled about many things. It was interesting to read the other post about GOD, because that is how I found "fulfillment". REAL God is NOT a religion, God is ALTRUISTIC. I grew up an Idealist (loving what is good and right and true) and experienced a lot of disappointment and heartache in learning how incompatible Idealism and reality are. I understand your discontentedness (unsettled feelings) and want you to know (and let you down easy) that what you are looking for, is not only a very noble aspiration/goal, it is an EXTREMELY noble aspiration of the highest order, but it is not here on Earth. That does not mean that you should just scrap your dream of a good relationship, or give up looking for someone with the same dream as you (cheer up, other people like you do exist), but realize how HIGH your expectations really are. I've learned to understand things more clearly because God is my reference point for reality. I've seen many people disregard him as the reference point for reality, and live their life in greed and loneliness because they've disregarded their conscience and dreams such as yours, don't let that be your lot.
