Is this a control issue? I don;t think so either. When we first met I smoked and he asked me to stop because it was bad for my health and would shorten our time together. For that reason, I gave up. Knowing this is not a control issue actually makes it easier for me to comply. Like I said, I have been in controlling relationships before, but never before has smoking been an issue with them. With this one, I think he just hates smoking and has a problem with that. My problem, I can;t seem to beable to give it up and can't be honest with him.
