I tried a piece of Phantom clear quartz today and it was so strong- I got a headache after trying it and felt really spaced out- but somehow it took me somehwere different. I can certainly say clear quartz amplifies other crystals- I was holding some rose quartz with the other hand and I felt the effects of the rose quartz almost instantanteously.

I decided not to buy it, because it was too strong in a way...I really missed it when I walked away from the shop-but somehow don't feel ready for it. Feel like I need to understand and balance the lower chakras before moving above the heart.

My third eye is pulsating like mad and am still feeling quite spaced out. I heard this is quite normal when you try a crystal which has a higher frequency. Barbara ann Brenan makes an interesting point- that if you try crystals that are too strong- they deplete your energy field...oops I think thats what happened today.

One of the things that always frightens me when I go crystal shopping is that I might accumulate peoples negative energies who have held it before...After today I did the Salt water. baking soda bath which apparently cleanses accumulated negative energy. Has anyone got any other ideas on good ways to cleanse this.

I did though buy a piece of new atlantean crystal or stone- Grreey/yellow and speckled. What are the properties of it?
