I met this man through the Love @ AOL profile, he sounded so interesting so I wrote to him. We spoke for the very first time on 3-31-2001 very nice person and a lovely man. Then we dated 4-11-2001, two days after his birthday, I gave him a little gift, he loved it. Then he was calling me every day, he also was honest with me and told me he was also dating other females, he is a single dad with one son, he has 2 daughters from two previous seperate marriages. In all the 3 marriages he had all 3 females were unfaithful to him, now he is scared to start all over again in trusting a female, he was so interested in me, so much that he was calling all the time. Then in 5-2001 all of a sudden he stopped calling me. He just did not call and was acting kind of funny like he did not want to talk to me anymore.

I started to cry because I really thought that this man was really interested in me alot, like he said. Then in 11-2001 he told me he was getting married it really crushed my heart so bad, then I found out he was just saying all this to see what was my reaction to all this, then he told me well one day I will get married, why he plays these kind of games with me. I stopped calling him for a while to see what happens, finally he calls me on the 6th day wondering why I was not calling him. Then he used to call me once in a while, then he wanted to see me again on 2-6-2002 almost a year later, then I said fine no problem.

After we set a date to see each other again, mind you I have not seen him since 4-11-2001, he writes me an email telling me that he has to cancel the date because he had to go to the doctors to get an EMG done because he had a numbness on his last 2 fingers on his left hand and that this day was the only day convenient for him and his doctor, on a wednesday when the majority of doctors do not work on wednesday only pediatricians and some of them only work from 9 am - 12 noon, pediatricians.

I found this hard to believe, but I think he is playing head games with me. This really hurted me alot. But what really destroyed me waswhat he wrote: "But, I hope to make it up to you sometime soon in the near future, please forgive any inconvenience." In the near future, please what the hell is all this. He could have said let's see if next week will be alright for me and you, no, instead he said: "in the near future" can you believe this man.

Can someone please help me.

Because, I'm going crazy, this man is something else, I know he dates others and he was very honest and open about it, but don't play head games with me. I have strong feelings for him and I cannot get him out of my mind. Please tell me if someone had experience something like this. I have been rejected many times by this man, many times.

Why? I do not know or understand.
