Actually the gallbladder was put there to regulate the bile that comes from the liver. That way it is only released when needed after a heavy or fatty meal.

Many people have it removed, and have no major problems later. But many others have digestive problems and also still have many pains like they had before.

What I keep wondering is: Why don't they take out the kidney when we have kidney stones...after all, we have two kidneys, but only one gallbladder!
