In my opinion, voting can be - more or less- a popularity contest. Sure, there are people who will cast a vote, because they agree or disagree with the post, but it could be that a lot of people hit the vote button because they like or hate the poster. Also, It is apparent that most people are simply not interested in voting.. I hardly ever cast a vote unless the posts are high profile, or I feel moved to make a difference. If I STRONGLY disagree with one thing in a post, then I am going to vote against it. This leaves all the other points being made by- the- wayside- information that others may need or strongly agree with. I hope people do not use the vote system to determine if they're going to read a post or not.
The voting system is fun at times, and Dushen may find it usful for his purposes, but for us, it has its limits.
Peace
