I've been a part of the CureZone family for 11 months.
When I first came aboard, there were lots of knowledgable and compassionate people -- the regulars -- who delighted in helping those less fortunate than
themselves. Sick and suffering men and women would
post their questions, their pleas for help, and receive
sound advice from more than one person. Even when we,
the advisors, disagreed about details, we always showed
respect and admiration for our peers, the other regulars who made up the CureZone family.
Unfortunately, confrontation seems to have replaced compassion on a number of the most visited forums. A
handful of Conspiracy theorists are driving away those
who dare to think differently from them. They are openly scornful and vitriolic to almost everyone --
and even to each other, on occasions. This has been going on since the first of the year.
When a new person comes to CureZone, it's common to read some posts on the most popular forums to get a sense of what this website is like. Anyone who does that now, is likely to conclude that CureZone is a fringe forum, dominated by wackos; people who are
filled with disdain for those who don't share their
values.
An example: if someone with AIDs or cancer comes to
either of those forums and asks for help, he is likely
to be told in a brusque, superior manner that (1) his
disease doesn't really exist; it's an invention of the
media, or (2) his disease was created by ex CIA-types
in shadowy backrooms, whose dark and evil purpose is to
control world population in ways that are not clear yet. He or she will be told in no uncertain terms that
these mysterious Darth Vader types, are deliberately
infecting the world's water supply, and spraying toxic
chemicals from high-flying jets.
I wonder how many sick people have found CureZone in the last 6 months, read that kind of galloping lunacy,
and then left CZ, never to return? My guess would be
tens of thousands.
The powers-that-be at CureZone must be aware of this
deteriorating situation. And yet nothing has been done
to correct it. Many of the most respected regulars have
disappeared. I've spoken to a half-dozen of my former
colleagues, and they tend to agree with me. They no
longer want to be associated with a health forum in
which confrontation has replaced compassion as the
primary value.
Frankly, neither do I. So I'm going to say Goodbye now
to all my good friends who still post here on occasion.
There are too many names to mention, but you know
who you are. I'll be forever grateful that our paths
crossed in this cyber-neighborhood; that we had a chance to Give Back to those less fortunate than we are. You will always remain in my prayers and in my
heart.
I wish you the very best of all the good things Life has to give. And I send you Love, Light, & Healing Energy from the shore of the Western Ocean.
Blessings,
Owen
