Appearantly, when your liver releases its toxins during the cleanses, some of them end up in the blood until they are broken down and removed by the lymphatic system. This may take place in the colon. Subsequently, there results in temporary swelling of the lymph nodes (enhanced immune action) and flu-like symptoms.
