Hi there, just an amused Englishman here.
There might well be a correlation between the two physical traits you have noticed. It has been discovered that FLR is influenced by the level of testosterone during gestation(pregnancy). Male genitalia develop during gestation as a result of dihydrotestosterone (aka DHT, oxidised testoserone sort of). A low level of testoserone during pregnancy might mean slightly "stunted" fingers and, because it will also lead to lowered levels of DHT, might also mean a slightly "stunted" penis.
Another upshot is that this male hormone also protects against heart disease in the aging male - but also leads to male pattern baldness. You can buy tablets to cure this type of baldness, they work by blocking the action of DHT. If you look at the medical literature regarding these cures you will notice that there are very strong warnings about pregnant woman even handling the tablets (in case they deform the male child they may be carrying!) The tablets are actually coated to prevent this.
Just for the record I am balding, my ring finger is longer than my index finger and my penis points skywards. Hopefully I won't be having any heart attacks.
Uhm, as a matter of interest just how many fingers and penises did you have to look at before you noticed the connection?
