If you've got a real bad case of candida you should probably stick with the Special Bulking Agent initially...it will result in slower die-off so you will have less discomfort. As the candida improves...with cleansing, diet and using antifungals...you can switch over to the Bulking Agent III which contains inulin and promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria. There is debate about whether PREbiotics such as inulin and FOS feed candida or not...some people have reported an aggravation of their symptoms when using these products. However, you will not be able to keep candida under control for the longterm if you do not take steps to increase the good bacteria. My advice is to make some headway with the candida first...and then focus on increasing the good bacteria with pre- and probiotics.
