You have not answer my question. Could you?

7 years ago I was practicing Zen meditation.
I wanted to be connected and to fiund peace.
I saw my ego, and it was a disturbing experience. While sitting still my ego wanted to stand up and be selfish.
Later I had a terrible experience, complete opposite to what you are saying. I felt a horrible emptiness, lack of sense of life, terrible sense of vacuum.

I think never again I would try meditation. It took me a lot of work and energy to recover. The only thing could save me was my church. That is when I became more Christian and began to really believe in God.
I am now facing Depression and I want to be more open again.

My question is simple: is reiki about spirits or about energy? I am not asking about good and bad.

I am not interested any more on opening doors that lead to difficult paths, they can be good for you but I do not want to take teh risk. I just want to learn a little hw can I improve and heal from my Depression and problems.I dono t want anything else. y pray and I love GOd, I just wanted to be open about other preactice, but I am very careful about takin just anything that sounds cool.

If Reiki is about energy and the light of God I would like to learn more. If its about spirits I am not interested.
Can you answer my question about energy or spirits??
