I am glad that I found this forum. I too have this condition in which I give off a feces odor. I am 35 years old and have had this condition since I was 19 years old. I don't know what to do about it. Apparently since there are a few of us who have admitted to having it by way of this forum, there definitely has to be an answer that a doctor could find. I suggest that we all compare our symptoms, compile them and then ask a doctor. Here are my details.

Other people started smelling the smell when I was 19.
When I was 18 I took an Antibiotic called tetracyline for about 6 months to get rid of severe Acne on my back. A year later is when the smell started.

The smell is usually the smell of feces, but I can smell gasoline sometimes. (I know this sounds crazy)

It seems to come and go, however, it may not. It may always be there.

It always makes its presence known while in public. It seems to me that it is most potent in social situations.

My parents never seemed to smell it when I lived at home in 1987.

My wife and two small children said they never smell it.

But I can tell others notice it greatly. And a couple of my friends have recently hinted to it.

I have learned to live with it and try to avoid getting too close to people (which is very hard to do).
I work in county government and work with elected officials, etc., which is very stressful when I have to be close to other people. I can see it in their faces and in the way that they put their finger to their nose when I am close to them.

It just feels a little better to know that I'm not the only one who has this condition and that I'm not crazy.

I just wish that I could find a way to stop it. Please let me know of any success with any treatment or if any doctor has diagnosed this terrible condition.
