Trichonella infections are contracted from ingesting uncooked beef or pork meat (especially pork). The larvae, which are coated in a cyst, are imbedded in the muscle tissue. Thus, a person infected with trichonella will usually experience muscle pain and swelling, and the problems could become even more severe in the event that the infection remains untreated.
Symptoms of Trichonella:
Muscle Pain
Muscle Swelling
Gastroenteritis
Fever
Central Nervous System Problems
Heart Problems
