I totally agree with you, everyone is metabolically unique. One diet might work for someone, but it might even be harmful for another. I believe this may be the case with many people suffering from candida, the diet works for someone, but for another it just makes things worse. So in my opinion if people don't take into account their metabolictype before changing their diet, they won't get it's full potential.
