Hi Vegan flush girl! I have been on atkins a long time and I have Gallstones and a congested liver also! I didnt know what was the problem untill I came to curezone and started to learn about such things! However I realise with hind sight that I had gallstone attacks many years ago and I associated them with junk food! If i ate to many nuts to fast with out chewing or ate a lot of processed foods like mashed potatoes or pancakes and stuff like that!
Soon after I found out about Atkins had great success lost tons a weight ! Was doing fine off and on! As long as I didt party to much eat junk etc!
But soon other complications set in extreme Depression wight gain and a strong desire for self medicating alcohol!
Then I realized I have been poisoning myself from workplace toxins (plumber) Found out they were the real reason for my Depression and I believe my liver and gallbladder problems!
Im not saying your wrong! I read somewhere a while ago thet gallstone are caused by toxins refined carbs and sugarand prescription drugs (toxins ) I know tht fats will cause your gallbladder to expand and cause contractions! but Im not sure if it is the reason itself for gall stones or a congested liver! I do however think that if your liver/gallbladder is not functioning right that it could bring on the attack but zIm not convinced a low carbs hi fat diet would cause it!
Liek I said Iam not sure! there is so much conflicting evidence out there its hard to know for sure! but I sure am interested and I hope others will contribute there thoughts or opinions about this subject I knwo there are heallers who are strict vegan enthusiest but there are others who say the opposite! Weston Price etc! this could be an opportunity to find some truth to this! I would like to know for sure myself! Thanks Veganflush girl! Grog
