Of course I read the Atkins Book. You have the wrong idea. I did the Atkins diet to the letter. That is how my cholesterol went from 225 to 400 in 4 months time.

Then to maintain my weight loss I used a near vegetarian diet supplemented with chicken and fish.

Hope that is clearer.
