Hi Stella,

You are correct about the remedy arnica being excellent for bruising; if the trauma is to the head, there are some other specific remedies, such as natrum-sulph, and/or Helleborous.

What we have found in the clinic is that the combination of thios with silicea in a low potency (9ch) works miraculously well for healing scar tissue.

As far as swelling, there are no specific remedies - it depends on the cause and/or the symptoms. For example, if it is swelling from a bee sting, then Apis is the correct remedy, but if it is swelling for other reasons, then that would have to be identified.
