thanks for taking your time with such a long reply! wow.

a couple of points: i totally understand your point. all i'm saying is that i don't discriminate towards men maybe like i should (according to our society)- and end up with more men friends because of it. because i let them in more then other women do? who knows, i'm not in their shoes.

and this did rather disturbs me:

"but to others it may read as though you believe you are better than them...."

i have to deal with it all the time. it really sucks and takes the energy out of me. i don't see myself as better...the thought of that makes me ill, i had a very judgemental mother growing up and can't stand discrimination of any kind. but now i see that learning some discrimination will be a healthy move for me.

how can one be discriminating without being judgemental tho?
