Hello,
I have to say that you must in your subconcious mind kind of wanted something to happen. If not you would of never gone out with your ex with your girlfriend out of town and you would of gotten up and left the bar as soon as you got bitten on the lip.

Well, You learned some tough lessons this week. You should not of even really been at a bar without your girlfriend.

What would you do if she came home and you found out while out of town she was with someone else too?

You say you both agree to tell if something like this happens dont make another mistake by not telling her. I am sure someone may have seen you that knows her or the roommate or this old girlfriend at any point can tell your girlfriend or anyone else. You better fess up. If not you will start looking for things in her to grip about to make yourself feel better.

I know we have all made big mistakes we can't take back but this is one I personally would never forgive my husband for. I feel if he truly LOVES me and wants to be with me he would never hurt me or humiliate me in this way.

Oh by the way this just goes to show you alcohol isnt what its all cracked up to be. Probably a good time to get that under control since you know you can not even trust yourself now when drinking.
