I was just thinking about it too: waste of time??!! It is never a waste of time, it's giving and receiving, teaching and learning...
Around 30 is a good age, you are young but not naiv, you know yourself better then 8 years ago, don't you?! Rudenski is right, give yourself time, pay attention and be kind to yourself.
BTW: why did you have Depression problem on the first place?
