You are right... most of what you will find in a "health food store" is processed, synthetic vitamins and minerals, and items that cost $40 that are not much more than a few $$ worth of packaging with worthless contents. In any case, vitamins and minerals are not much good without the co-factors that go with them and there is no way man can synthesize them so that they act as food for the human body; never.

I wish I had all the money back that I spent on that stuff... that said, it is not all bad. I do believe there are good products out there, however many of them are being swallowed up by the giants and eliminated or re-formulated into things that are no longer of any benefit.

It is just difficult to understand and learn what is good because we are not taught correctly from the beginning; then again it is easy... eat what grows naturally.

What makes it even more difficult is living in a very unsupported environment... my wife and family will not give up their chemical solvents and cleaning stuff, if I mention anything about them an argument ensues.

Needless to say, my family, and many of my friends believe I am off the deep end, however I have not been sick in over 18 months while the rest of my family has passed around all kinds of things and at least one is sick at any given time; my wife was sick for over 9 months last fall, winter, spring. You would think they would get a clue.
