What you experienced is something most of us actually do during the night in our sleep (REM, St 4). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that, but I believe that's the case.
If you ever look up the studies that were conducted on Ambiem CR, you will notice that a small handful of patients literally developed influenza from taking the medication. There's more involved with all of this than we'll ever know. Studies like that one show us that medicine hasn't begun to fully grasp what's at work in all of these different areas.
So much of this "Seizure stuff" goes back to the Pineal Gland one way or the other, I'm convinced of that (AKA-Melatonin).
A seizure disorder needs to be diagnosed by an EEG, so it's good you're having one. Your doc will know what to do from that point.
