"Gee, Mr. Senator, we didn't realize that when we put a rumored date on the death of that pathetic Arab leader (*spit*) and then tied financial gain to it that we were actually creating a complicated method for putting contracts out on foreign leaders' heads and encouraging terrorism. We're so sorry, but the system is in place now, and we couldn't possibly shut it down. There's too much money at stake. We made promises to, um, our investors... Yeah, our 'investors'."
